Ode To The Night Sky
O silent night, thou has wrapped the world,
In hues of velvet black, dazzling purple, and sparks of glittering gold,
Out of reach, and never to hold.
Like tired children waiting to see a queen,
We sleep in your gracious presence.
Never to know your true beauty, or your liveliness.
The way you dance across the sky as the light disappears;
The way your skirt twirls as you move;
Or the way your gaze softly caresses the earth.
Back, and forth, you play across your personal dance floor.
Sometimes you invite the light-bugs to dance with you.
Filling your floor with fun-loving, bright guests.
